Day 01Arrive Leh

Arrive by International flight. After a traditional Indian-style ‘Swagat’ (Welcome) by Exceptional Escapes Representative, you will be assisted at the airport & transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Complete day at leisure for acclimatization with welcome tea/coffee at the hotel.

Flight Highlight:
This is considered one of the most sensational flights in the world. On a clear day, you can witness the mighty K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum, and the dramatic Nun Kun Massif.

Day 02Leh – Full Day Excursion to Sham Valley & Lamayuru Monastery

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion covering the highlights of Sham Valley and Lamayuru along the Leh–Kargil Highway.

En-route Sightseeing (Well-Sequenced & Balanced)

  • Gurudwara Patthar Sahib – Sacred Sikh shrine surrounded by mountains
  • Magnetic Hill – Experience the famous gravity-defying phenomenon
  • Confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers (Sangam Point) – Majestic viewpoint
  • Likir Monastery – Known for the giant Maitreya Buddha statue
  • Ridzong Monastery – “The Hidden Monastery” (optional short walk)
  • Alchi Monastery (Alchi Gompa) – 11th-century complex noted for its ancient murals
  • Alchi Village Walk (Optional Add-on) – Explore traditional village lanes
  • Basgo Palace & Ruins – Dramatic 15th-century hilltop fortress
  • Lamayuru Monastery – One of the oldest and most spectacular monasteries in Ladakh

After completing sightseeing, drive back to Leh by evening.

Day 03Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La (120 Kms / 4–5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,390 ft) – one of the highest motorable roads in the world.

On Arrival in Nubra

  • Check-in at Camp/Hotel in Hunder
  • Evening village walk to experience local Ladakhi life
  • Visit a traditional Ladakhi home & try local cuisine
  • Optional short walk to Hunder Sand Dunes for sunset

Day 04 Nubra Valley – Leh (120 Kms / 4–5 Hrs)

After early breakfast:

Sightseeing

  • Bactrian Camel Ride at the Hunder Sand Dunes
  • Diskit Monastery (515 years old) with giant Maitreya Buddha statue
  • Walk around Diskit Market

Drive back to Leh via Khardung La Pass.

Day 05Leh – Pangong Lake (140 Kms / 4–5 Hrs One Way)

After breakfast, drive to the iconic Pangong Tso Lake.
En-route Sightseeing

  • Shey Palace – Former summer capital
  • Thiksey Monastery – Ladakh’s most photogenic monastery
  • 3 Idiots Rancho School
  • Changla Pass (17,590 ft) – Scenic high-altitude pass
  • Tangtse Village – Tea/refreshment break
  • Picturesque Changthang region villages

Arrive at Pangong Lake (14,000 ft) – a stunning blue lake shared by India and China (133 km long).

Check in at Camp.

Day 06Pangong Lake – Leh (140 Kms / 6 Hrs)

Morning free to enjoy the sunrise over Pangong Lake.
Drive back to Leh, en-route visiting:

  • Hemis Monastery – The largest & richest monastery in Ladakh

Evening free for shopping in Leh Market.
Overnight in Leh (B, D)

Day 07Leh – Delhi (Flight)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight back with beautiful memories of Forbidden Land of Ladakh – A High-Altitude Odyssey.
